Description: This photograph shows a couple on the curved ramps leading to the Contemporary Art Museum – MAC in Niterói, Brasil. Oscar Niemeyer designed the building in 1996 in Niterói, a town opposite Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro. Before entering, you walk on flowing ramps that guide and enable you to see the building from different viewpoints. Navigating the ramps is like a dance in space and undoubtedly a perfect selfie setting.
Henriette is a photographer from Berlin. Her first encounter with photography came through assisting Lovis Dengler while interning at the Water Mill Center, an interdisciplinary Art Center founded by Robert Wilson. Later on, the Berlin-based photographer Ramtin Zanjani introduced her to analogue photography and she has been practising ever since.
