Description: The photograph shows a detail of the curved ramps leading up to the MAC Museum of Contemporary Art in Niterói, Brazil. In 1996, the Museum was designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and it has become a monument of great architectural and historical interest. The winging ramps were intended to offer an element of surprise.
Henriette is a photographer from Berlin. Her first encounter with photography came through assisting the photographer Lovis Dengler while interning at the Water Mill Center, an interdisciplinary Art Center founded by Robert Wilson. Later on, the Berlin-based photographer Ramtin Zanjani introduced her to analogue photography and she has been practising ever since.
